What this scale serves

The R28 is the top of the line: a 56-foot display plane, which is a structure in its own right and is planned as one. Programs at this size are building the room around the requirement rather than fitting the requirement into a room.

Everything the smaller families argue holds here and matters more. Angular error that is tolerable across a few feet of surface is not tolerable across fifty-six, and the seams, facets and blend zones that a smaller approximation can hide become the dominant visual feature at this scale.

Configurations at this size vary more than anywhere else in the line — horizontal and vertical extent, mounting, and how the surface meets the structure are all program decisions. Start with the room and the mission, not with the part number.

What varies per installation

Degrees of horizontal and vertical field, mounting, drive and power are configured per installation rather than fixed by the family, and the cut sheets carry the values. Ask us and we will send them.
